About our Classes | PaymentAbout Our Classes
Most of our classes are geared toward the beginner basket makers, offering you your choice of either a 6-inch ($235 complete) or 8-inch ($270 complete) open round basket. You have your choice of either cherry or walnut for the base, rim, and handle which includes bone knobs and washers, with an ivory plug for the base. We do offer ivory scrimshaw and carvings if you would like to upgrade your basket.Beginner classes are 2 days from 9am to 4pm with a break for lunch from 12 to 1. We like to schedule your classes a week apart for your weaving time. We will, however, work with you to fit your schedule, if possible.
If you are an intermediate or advanced basket maker, just let us know what project you would like to make and we will schedule you in any of the class dates available. We will be offering a variety of projects this season and a wide selection of exotic woods for our purse tops and some tray bases. Most classes are 2 days, from 9 am to 4pm, with a week in between for weaving. We break for lunch from 12 to 1. Classes are limited to 6 students, with at least two teachers. We will, however, be retiring from teaching the last week of July. We have enjoyed each and every one of our students and friends we have made over the past 10 years.
